Rather expected game when 8th ranked Monthey (5-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Boncourt (7-5) 93-86 on Sunday. Boncourt made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Brandon Brown (180-91, college: Loyola Mary) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: 3Eye) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian point guard Dusan Katnic (193-89) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Boncourt and five Monthey players scored in double figures. Boncourt moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Neuchatel and Massagno. Defending champion Monthey keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Boncourt will meet Neuchatel (#4) on the road in the next round. Monthey will play against Swiss Central (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
