Regular Season Round 11: Atomeromu - PEAC-Pecs 86-50

A Division top team - Atomeromu (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked PEAC-Pecs (4-6) in Szekszard 86-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of PEAC-Pecs. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PEAC-Pecs to just 4 points in first quarter. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to PEAC-Pecs' 24. They outrebounded PEAC-Pecs 34-22 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Atomeromu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by PEAC-Pecs' players. It was a quality performance for the former international Reka Balint (182-91) who led the winners and scored 15 points. American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford, agency: ProDep Management) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Briana Roberson (170, college: Stanford) added 16 points respectively for PEAC-Pecs in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. PEAC-Pecs at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Atomeromu will play against MTK (#10) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PEAC-Pecs will play at home against Cegledi EKK and hope to get back on the winning track.
