Regular Season Round 19: Rusichi K. - Dynamo-MGTU 111-81

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dynamo-MGTU (9-6) against sixth ranked Rusichi K. (5-10) on Tuesday night. Visiting Dynamo-MGTU was crushed by Rusichi K. in Kursk 111-81. Rusichi K. dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo-MGTU's 42. Rusichi K. forced 21 Dynamo-MGTU turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Dynamo-MGTU's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Anton Belov (202-81) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Swingman Aleksey Almushev (198-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Rusichi K.'s coach Sergey Yaroshenko felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Pavel Rossov (205-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Maksim Knyazev (198-96) added 15 points in the effort for Dynamo-MGTU. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rusichi K. maintains sixth place in 2 with 5-10 record. Dynamo-MGTU at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Rusichi K. will again play against league's second-placed Dynamo-MGTU in Maykop in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round.
