The game in Riva San Vitale was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Bellinzona (6-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Riva (4-7). Bellinzona did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 84-65. Bellinzona dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Riva's 34. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Jessica Jackson (192-95, college: Arkansas) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Bellinzona players scored in double figures. Bellinzona's coach Walter Bernasconi used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Elan Brown (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kelly Moten (173-93, college: Emporia St.) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Bellinzona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Winterthur. Riva at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Bellinzona will play against league's second-placed BBC Troist. in Troistorrents in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Riva will play at home against Helios (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
