Regular Season Round 12: Kormend - Atomeromu 91-94

Top ranked Kormend (9-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Atomeromu (7-5) 94-91. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kormend. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-20. But Kormend won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Seth Allen (185-94, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. International power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Atomeromu's coach Teo Cizmic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Andre Hollins (186-92, college: Minnesota, agency: 3Eye) who recorded 25 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Eric Fanning (196-92, college: Boston U.) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Five Atomeromu and four Kormend players scored in double figures. Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with ZTE KK. Kormend at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Szolnok. Atomeromu is looking forward to face Kaposvari (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Kormend will play against Alba (#4) in Szekesfehervar and is hoping to win this game.
