Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (9-3) against fourth ranked Alba (8-4) on Friday night. Visiting Kormend was crushed by Alba in Szekesfehervar 115-75. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Kormend turnovers. Alba shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Kormend's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: 3Eye) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Kasey Hill (185-93, college: Florida) chipped in 17 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Five Alba players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: HMS) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Csaba Ferencz (194-85) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Falco-Vulcano. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Alba will play against Kaposvari (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kormend will play against JP-Auto JKSE (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
