Regular Season Round 14: KTE-Duna - ZTE KK 85-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked ZTE KK's (7-7) road loss to sixth ranked KTE-Duna (8-5) 75-85. It looked good early as ZTE KK took a 16-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then KTE-Duna took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 10 points. American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. International point guard Mate Pongo (185-93) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four KTE-Duna players scored in double figures. International swingman Szilard Benke (198-95) replied with 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for ZTE KK. KTE-Duna have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alba. ZTE KK at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. KTE-Duna's next round opponent will be PVSK-Veolia (#8) in Pecs. ZTE KK will play at home against Szedeak and hope to win that game.
