Regular Season Round 14: Szolnok - PVSK-Veolia 78-69

A Division top team - Szolnok (11-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked PVSK-Veolia (7-7) 78-69. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But PVSK-Veolia won third quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while PVSK-Veolia only scored five points from the stripe. Szolnok forced 22 PVSK-Veolia turnovers. Serbian forward Strahinja Milosevic (203-85) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) did not help to save the game for PVSK-Veolia. American guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) added 7 points and 13 assists for the guests. Szolnok have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-2 record. PVSK-Veolia at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with ZTE KK. Szolnok will play against bottom-ranked Sopron KC (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PVSK-Veolia will play against KTE-Duna (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
