Regular Season Round 12: MTK - Atomeromu 60-75

Undefeated leader Atomeromu delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 10th ranked MTK (1-10) 75-60 in Budapest. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. MTK was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to MTK's 30. They outrebounded MTK 41-24 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Atomeromu players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for naturalized Serbian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Livia Gereben (183-99) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Forward Lilla Adamecz (182-92) replied with 19 points and Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, college: Dayton) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for MTK. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomeromu (11-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. MTK lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with ten games lost. Atomeromu will play against Cegledi EKK (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. MTK will play against PEAC-Pecs (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
