Date: January 8, 2018
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Keravnos (8-2) crushed bottom-ranked APOP (1-10) in Strovolos 88-63. They outrebounded APOP 52-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Keravnos players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Antwan Scott (185-92, college: Colorado St., agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Keravnos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Anton Waters (201-93, college: W.Kentucky) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Tracy Abrams (188-92, college: Illinois) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader AEK. APOP lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Keravnos will play against Etha (#3) in Nicosia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. APOP will play at home against Enosis (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
