No shocking result in a game in Saint Petersburg where sixth ranked Novosybirsk (15-7) smashed bottom-ranked Zenit-Farm (2-19) 91-69. They outrebounded Zenit-Farm 43-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. Novosybirsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Alexander Martynov (196-95) who led the winners and scored 21 points. Guard Sergey Tokarev (191-85) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Novosybirsk players scored in double figures. Grigory Motovilov (194-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) came up with 24 points and power forward Ivan Lazarev (210-91) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Zenit-Farm in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Novosybirsk. They moved-up to third place, which they share with TEMP-SUMZ and Ural Ekaterinb. Zenit-Farm lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Novosybirsk's next round opponent will be TEMP-SUMZ Revda (#4) at home. Zenit-Farm will play against Kupol-Rodniki (#10) in Izhevsk and hope to win that game.
