Regular Season Round 13: CSKA Junior - Unics-2 57-60

Seventh-ranked CSKA Junior (7-13) gave a tough game to third ranked Unics-2 (15-5) in Moscow on Thursday. The visitors from Kazan managed to secure only three-point victory 60-57. However their fans expected much easier game. Unics-2 forced 20 CSKA Junior turnovers. Center Semen Pinaev (208-99) stepped up and scored 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Artem Ivanov (193-98) chipped in 11 points. At the losing side forward Viktor Lakhin (205-1) responded with 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Oleg Starodubov (194-97) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Unics-2 moved-up to second place. CSKA Junior at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Unics-2 are looking forward to face Parma-2 (#5) in Perm in the next round. CSKA Junior will play at home against N.Novgorod-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
