ZTE NKK did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 72-55 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 27-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ZTE NKK forced 22 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers. Austrian guard Sigi Koizar (173-95, college: Maine) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Ivey Slaughter (186-94, college: Florida St.) responded with 8 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. ZTE NKK maintains fourth place with 7-4 record. Loser PINKK-Pecsi dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. ZTE NKK will meet at home league's second-placed Sopron Basket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PINKK-Pecsi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Pecs to the arena PEAC-Pecs.
