Regular Season Round 15: Alba - Falco-Vulcano 89-85

The game between third ranked Falco-Vulcano (9-5) and fourth ranked Alba (9-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Falco-Vulcano was defeated by Alba in a tough game in Szekesfehervar 85-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falco-Vulcano. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Strangely Falco-Vulcano outrebounded Alba 42-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 24 points. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Alba's coach Branislav Dzunic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was international swingman Zoltan Perl (195-95) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and international guard Benedek Varadi (195-95) added 18 points respectively. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Falco-Vulcano and KTE-Duna. Alba is looking forward to face DEAC (#11) in Debrecen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Falco-Vulcano will play at home against JP-Auto JKSE (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
