Regular Season Round 14: Parma-2 - Unics-2 71-74

Fifth-ranked Parma-2 (9-14) made lots of trouble for first ranked Unics-2 (16-6) in Perm. The visitors from Kazan managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Unics-2 outrebounded Parma-2 40-24 including a 29-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Artem Ivanov (193-98) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Sergey Krivykh (182-98) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Unics-2's coach Andrei Kibenko allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard Pavel Kogevnikov (180-98) replied with 17 points and 5 assists and guard Yegor Golovchenko (194-97) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Parma-2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Unics-2 went down to third position due to points difference. Parma-2 at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 14 games lost. Unics-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Parma-2 will play at home against the league's leader Khimki-2 (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
