Regular Season Round 13: MBA - Enisey 84-85

Important game to mention about took place in Moscow. Fifth ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (5-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked MBA (5-7) 85-84 in the fight for the sixth place. Enisey Krasnoyarsk shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by MBA's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-88, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Kseniya Kunakova (168-92) contributed with 17 points for the winners. International point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) answered with 21 points and 6 steals and the former international Liudmila Sapova (188-84) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MBA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Enisey Krasnoyarsk went down to sixth position due to points difference. MBA at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against higher ranked Spartak Vidnoye (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MBA will play against Inventa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
