Superleague 1 top team - BC Rostov (14-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat fifth ranked Samara (9-8) 64-48. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Samara's 26. BC Rostov forced 20 Samara turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Jane-Elizabet Morozova (187-97) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yulia Poluyanova (191-92) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Victoria Sazonova (186-96) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Samara. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Rostov maintains first place with 14-3 record. Samara lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. BC Rostov is again looking forward to face Samara (#5) at home in the next round. Samara will have a break next round.
