Regular Season Round 16: DEAC - Alba 65-83
Date: January 20, 2018
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Alba (10-5) beat 10th ranked DEAC (6-10) in Debrecen 83-65. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. DEAC was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay St.) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Bulgarian Ivan Lilov (194-88) responded with 17 points and American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: G.Washington) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Falco-Vulcano. DEAC lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Szedeak. Alba will play against ZTE KK (#6) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round. DEAC will play on the road against JP-Auto JKSE (#12) in Jaszberenyi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
