Regular Season Round 16: Kaposvari - MAFC 106-82

Very expected game when 13th ranked MAFC (3-13) was smashed on the road by ninth ranked Kaposvari (7-8) 106-82. The game was mostly controlled by Kaposvari. MAFC was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by MAFC's players. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-92, college: Connecticut) who added 17 points, 9 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Kaposvari's coach Adam Fekete felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Toney McCray (196-89, college: Nebraska) responded with 27 points and the former international Marton Fodor (192-81) scored 25 points and 5 assists. Kaposvari maintains ninth position with 7-8 record. MAFC lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Kaposvari will play against league's second-placed Kormend on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. MAFC will play against Falco-Vulcano (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
