Regular Season Round 15: Parma-2 - Khimki-2 74-93

VTB-Youth top team - Khimki-2 (17-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Parma-2 (9-15) in Perm 93-74. Khimki-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a quality performance for point guard Elkhan Akhmedov (184-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Power forward Sergey Klyuyev (207-98) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Khimki-2 players scored in double figures. Guard Aleksandr Platunov (192-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 assists and 4 steals and forward Sergey Shirokov (202-97) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Khimki-2. They maintain first place with 17-3 record. Loser Parma-2 keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
