Regular Season Round 16: KTE-Duna - Szolnok 67-79

A Division top team - Szolnok (13-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked KTE-Duna (9-6) in Kecskemet 79-67. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KTE-Duna. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 46-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded KTE-Duna 37-26 including 22 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Strahinja Milosevic (203-85) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) added 20 points in the effort for KTE-Duna. Szolnok have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. KTE-Duna at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Szolnok are looking forward to face Szedeak (#10) in Szeged in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KTE-Duna will play on the road against Sopron KC (#14) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
