Regular Season Round 14: BEAC Ujbuda - MTK 61-66

Bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to tenth ranked MTK (2-11) 66-61 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 10-4 charge, which allowed them to win the game. MTK dominated on the defensive end, holding BEAC-Ujbuda to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Flora Szabo (187-92) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Lilla Adamecz (182-92) supported her with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. MTK's coach Nagy Dora allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by swingman Anna Suppan (177-94) did not help to save the game for BEAC-Ujbuda. Forward Krisztina Sule (178-87) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. MTK maintains tenth position with 2-11 record. Loser BEAC-Ujbuda still closes the standings with 13 games lost. MTK will meet higher ranked Miskolc (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BEAC-Ujbuda will play against Cegledi EKK (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
