Very expected game when 13th ranked Ryazan (3-97) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Irkut Irkutsk (89-12) 91-75. It was a great shooting night for Irkut Irkutsk especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Mikhail Karpachev (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Grigoriy Andreev (193-90) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Irkut Irkutsk players scored in double figures. Power forward Maxim Morozov (205-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Yuriy Mityuk (191-94) added 20 points in the effort for Ryazan. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Irkut Irkutsk keeps a position of league leader. Ryazan lost their 85th game in a row. They dropped to the bottom. Irkut Irkutsk's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Spartak-Prim. in Vladivostok and it will be for sure the game of the week.
