There was no surprise in Maykop where 7th ranked Elbrus Cherk. (2-17) was crushed by fourth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (11-8) 92-71. Dynamo-MGTU outrebounded Elbrus Cherk. 42-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Maksim Knyazev (198-96) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 assists. Point guard Artem Gaposhin (184-91) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Guard Georgiy Lachev (194-93) came up with 19 points and center Aleksandr Prikazchikov (210-91) added 17 points respectively for Elbrus Cherk. in the defeat. Elbrus Cherk.'s coach Yuriy Meremkulov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dynamo-MGTU moved-up to third place in 2. Elbrus Cherk. at the other side keeps the seventh position with 17 games lost. Dynamo-MGTU's next round opponent will be again Elbrus Cherk. (#7) in Cherkessk.
