Regular Season Round 15: PINKK-Pecsi - Atomeromu 53-83

A Division top team - Atomeromu (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked PINKK-Pecsi (5-9) 83-53. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. PINKK-Pecsi was better in fourth quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to PINKK-Pecsi's 26. Atomeromu forced 22 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for forward Livia Gereben (183-99) who led the winners and scored 16 points. The former international Reka Balint (182-91) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. American center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) came up with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Slovenian forward Tina Jakovina (184-92) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for PINKK-Pecsi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Atomeromu. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. PINKK-Pecsi lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Atomeromu will play against UNI Gyor (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. PINKK-Pecsi will play against Miskolc (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
