Regular Season Round 17: Alba - ZTE KK 98-86

Everything went according to plan in Szekesfehervar where fourth ranked Alba (11-5) beat 6th ranked ZTE KK (9-8) 98-86 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Alba. ZTE KK managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Alba looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and international swingman Szilard Benke (198-95) added 16 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Alba. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Falco-Vulcano. Loser ZTE KK dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Alba will meet at home PVSK-Veolia (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ZTE KK will play against JP-Auto JKSE and hope to secure a win.
