Very expected game when 14th ranked Sopron KC (2-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked KTE-Duna (10-6) 76-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-66. KTE-Duna dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sopron KC's 32. The best player for the winners was American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Four KTE-Duna players scored in double figures. American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) produced 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. KTE-Duna moved-up to fifth place. Sopron KC lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. KTE-Duna will meet Szedeak (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sopron KC will play against Kaposvari (#9) and hope to secure a win.
