Regular Season Round 19: MAFC - ZTE KK 72-96

Date: February 3, 2018
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked ZTE KK (11-8) crushed 13th ranked MAFC (4-15) in Budapest 96-72 on Saturday. The game without a history. ZTE KK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by MAFC's players. It was a very good performance for Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Deonta Vaughn (184-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Five ZTE KK players scored in double figures. American forward Toney McCray (196-89, college: Nebraska) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MAFC. MAFC's coach Jovica Arsic gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. ZTE KK moved-up to sixth place. Loser MAFC keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. ZTE KK will face league's leader Kormend at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MAFC will play against PVSK-Veolia (#8) in Pecs and hope to win that game.
