An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Neuchatel in a game versus Monthey (#7) 74-62. Monthey looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian center Uros Nikolic (207-87, agency: BeoExcell) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian point guard Dusan Katnic (193-89) accounted for 16 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Monthey players scored in double figures. Croatian center Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Dominican guard Bryan Colon (181-92) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Neuchatel in the defeat. Defending champion maintains seventh place with 9-10 record. Loser Neuchatel dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Boncourt. Monthey will meet at home Winterthur (#11) in the next round. Neuchatel will play against Swiss Central (#9) in Luzern and hope to secure a win.
