Regular Season Round 17: Parma-2 - Enisey-2 99-85

No shocking result in a game in Perm where sixth ranked Parma-2 (11-15) defeated bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (2-23) 99-85 on Sunday. Parma-2 made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Parma-2 outrebounded Enisey-2 42-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Enisey-2 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Aleksandr Platunov (192-97) who scored 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Sergey Shirokov (202-97) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nikita Osit (200-98) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and Anton Vasiliev (193-99) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Five Parma-2 and four Enisey-2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Parma-2 maintains sixth place with 11-15 record. Enisey-2 lost their twenty second game in a row. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Parma-2 will face higher ranked CSKA Junior (#5) in Moscow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enisey-2 will play at home against Zenit-2 (#7) and hope to win that game.
