There was a minor upset in Ekaterinburg where 5th ranked UMMC Junior (10-9) was defeated by seventh ranked Stavropol (9-12) 65-60 on Tuesday. Albina Khamitova (186-94) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Galina Lyashenko (172-91) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Ekaterina Ilinova (178-95) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Margarita Grin added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. UMMC Junior's coach Artem Rozhin let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Stavropol moved-up to sixth place. UMMC Junior lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Stavropol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UMMC Junior will play again against Stavropol (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
