Second Stage Round 3: Ufimets Ufa - Burevestnik 88-91

Third-ranked Ufimets Ufa (17-10) gave a tough game to Burevestnik (25-2) on Friday. The visitors from Yaroslav managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected easier game. Strangely Ufimets Ufa outrebounded Burevestnik 45-31 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Ufimets Ufa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for guard Anton Ageev (191-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points. Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Burevestnik players scored in double figures. Burevestnik's coach Mikhail Terekhov used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Artem Isakov (192-87) with 33 points (!!!) and center Mikhail Kautin (213-86) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Burevestnik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ufimets Ufa will play again at home against Burevestnik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
