Regular Season Round 32: Kupol-Rodniki - CSKA 2 83-74

We should mention about the upset which took place in Izhevsk, where higher ranked CSKA 2 (18-13) lost to eleventh ranked Kupol-Rodniki (11-20) in a road game 74-83. Strangely CSKA 2 outrebounded Kupol-Rodniki 41-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. The former international Ivan Rusetskiy (198-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Center Ruslan Abdulbasirov (211-93) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Kupol-Rodniki players scored in double figures. Aleksandr Gankevich (201-95) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Anton Astapkovich (202-94) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for CSKA 2. CSKA 2's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kupol-Rodniki maintains eleventh position with 11-20 record. CSKA 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
