The most exciting game of round 20 in the VTB-Youth took place in Saint Petersburg. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked CSKA Junior (14-16) to seventh ranked Zenit-2 (13-19) 93-92 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CSKA Junior. Zenit-2 made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by CSKA Junior helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Andrey Savrasov (194-0) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Danil Krysanov (197-98) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Andrey Lopatin (208-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Denis Kovalev (190-1) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Four Zenit-2 and five CSKA Junior players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zenit-2 moved-up to sixth place. CSKA Junior at the other side keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. Zenit-2 are looking forward to face Parma-2 (#7) in Perm in the next round. CSKA Junior will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lokomotiv-2 in Krasnodar and is hoping to win this game.
