The most exciting game of round 30 in the Superleague 1 took place in Samara. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Samara (15-11) to eighth ranked Sparta&K-2 V (8-18) 63-61 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Sparta&K-2 V made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Sevara Nuritdinova (163-98) scored 15 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Anastasia Zotkin (188-99) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Victoria Sazonova (186-96) with 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Olga Lavrova (182-95) scored 11 points. Samara's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sparta&K-2 V maintains eighth position with 8-18 record. Samara at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
