UMMC had little troubles against USK Praha to open win count in the series. The game was mostly controlled by UMMC Ekaterinburg. USK Praha managed to win fourth quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding USK Praha to just 7 points in first quarter. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to USK Praha's 32. They outrebounded USK Praha 39-20 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. UMMC Ekaterinburg shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 75.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American Maya Moore (183-89, college: Connecticut) fired 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points. UMMC Ekaterinburg's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swedish center Amanda Bazoukou (196-93, college: Minnesota) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and Katerina Elhotova (180-89) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures.
