Regular Season Round 21: Falco-Vulcano - Kormend 83-79

An interesting game for Falco-Vulcano (15-5) which hosted in Szombathely second-best Kormend (15-5). Third ranked Falco-Vulcano managed to get a 4-point victory 83-79. Kormend was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 26-18 charge of Falco-Vulcano, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for international point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 7 assists. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (201-85) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. American guard Eric Fanning (196-92, college: Boston U.) answered with 20 points and the other American import forward Justin Tuoyo (208-94, college: Chattanooga) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Kormend. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Falco-Vulcano have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Kormend. Falco-Vulcano is looking forward to face ZTE KK (#5) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round. Kormend will play on the road against the league's leader Szolnok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
