Regular Season Round 32: MBA-2 - Neftyanik 47-61

Very predictable result in Moscow where second ranked Neftyanik (16-9) defeated bottom-ranked MBA-2 (7-19) 61-47 on Sunday. Neftyanik had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Kseniya Kornienko who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Darya Filimonova (178-93) who added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Ekaterina Evdokimova (177-0) responded with 13 points and center Vera Kuchina (195-0) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neftyanik maintains second position with 16-9 record having six points less than leader Rostov. MBA-2 at the other side stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. Neftyanik are looking forward to face Samara (#4) at home in the next round. MBA-2 will have a break next round.
