Regular Season Round 21: Avtodor-2 - Enisey-2 61-89
Date: March 5, 2018
Bottom-ranked Enisey-2 managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Monday night. This time they outleveled eighth-ranked Avtodor-2 in Saratov 89-61. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 28-point difference proves that Enisey-2 was well-prepared to that game. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Avtodor-2 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Mikhail Goretskiy (200-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Anton Vasiliev (193-99) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Enisey-2 players scored in double figures. Point guard Igor Bestuzhev (180-99) answered with 16 points and 4 assists and center Vadim Novikovsky (208-0) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Avtodor-2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Enisey-2 maintains tenth place with 3-29 record. Avtodor-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 19 games lost. Enisey-2 will face higher ranked N.Novgorod-2 (#9) in Nizhny Novgorod in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
