Regular Season Round 21: Szolnok - MAFC 102-73

A Division top team - Szolnok (17-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked MAFC (4-17) 102-73. Szolnok shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 assists for the winners and American point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: Youngstown St.) chipped in 14 points. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Toney McCray (196-89, college: Nebraska) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Marton Fodor (192-81) scored 17 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Szolnok. They maintain first place with 17-3 record. MAFC lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Sopron KC. Szolnok will play against league's second-placed Kormend at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MAFC will play against KTE-Duna (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
