A very close game took place in Saint Petersburg between Zenit-2 and Parma-2. Sixth ranked Zenit-2 (15-19) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Parma-2 (12-18). Zenit-2 managed to escape with a 3-point win 90-87 in the fight for the sixth place. It was a great shooting night for Zenit-2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zenit-2 made 10 blocks. Andrey Savrasov (194-0) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Semen Krashilshchikov (197-0) accounted for 24 points. Zenit-2's coach Sergey Khrebtov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Aleksandr Platunov (192-97) came up with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Yegor Golovchenko (194-97) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Four Parma-2 players scored in double figures. Zenit-2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 15-19 record. Loser Parma-2 keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Zenit-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
