Second Stage Round 6: Dynamo-MGTU - Uralmash 83-70

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Uralmash (22-8) against sixth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (13-17) on Friday night. Visiting Uralmash was defeated by Dynamo-MGTU in Maykop 83-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Uralmash. Dynamo-MGTU shot 21 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Uralmash only scored five points from the stripe. Point guard Artem Gaposhin (184-91) notched 27 points to lead the effort and Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (205-85) supported him with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by Dmitriy Ezhov (207-91) did not help to save the game for Uralmash. Forward Semen Shashkov (205-89) added 10 points and 4 assists. Uralmash's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo-MGTU moved-up to fifth place. Uralmash at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Dynamo-MGTU will play against league's leader Dyn-Magn.ChL in Cheliabinsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Uralmash will play on the road against Arsenal in Tula and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
