Leader Burevestnik recorded the thirtieth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Cheb.Yastreby (14-18) 87-74 in Yaroslav. They outrebounded Cheb.Yastreby 43-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by forward Konstantin Novikov (202-87) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 rebounds and Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) supported him with 12 points. Burevestnik's coach Mikhail Terekhov used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Sergey Zhulkov (203-95) did not help to save the game for Cheb.Yastreby. Forward Evgeniy Bogdan (200-88) added 10 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the guests. Four Cheb.Yastreby players scored in double figures. Burevestnik (30-2) have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Cheb.Yastreby lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 18 games lost. Burevestnik's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Uralmash in Ekaterinburg and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cheb.Yastreby will play at home against Dynamo-MGTU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
