Leader BC Rostov delivered the twenty third win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Stavropol (10-18) 76-48. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Stavropol's 24. BC Rostov forced 21 Stavropol turnovers and outrebounded them 43-22 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Eleonora Oleynikova (178-98) who scored 16 points. Power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. BC Rostov's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Liudmila Maltseva (190-88) who recorded 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Albina Khamitova (186-94) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. BC Rostov (23-5) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. BC Rostov maintains first position. Stavropol lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 18 games lost. BC Rostov is looking forward to face Dynamo-Farm (#6) in Kursk in the next round where they are favorite. Stavropol will play on the road against MBA-2 in Moscow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
