Regular Season Round 23: Kormend - Szedeak 77-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kormend (17-5) defeated at home 10th ranked Szedeak (9-13) 77-72 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Szedeak was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 30-20 charge of Kormend, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Marquis Wright (185-95, college: Siena) who scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: HMS) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian center Nenad Sulovic (202-85, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Kormend maintains second place with 17-5 record behind leader Szolnok. Loser Szedeak dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Kormend will face Atomeromu (#7) in Paks in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Szedeak will play at home against Kaposvari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
