The game in Nicosia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Keravnos (13-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Etha (6-11). Keravnos smashed Etha 84-48. Keravnos dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Etha's 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Etha's players. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners and scored 26 points. His fellow American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Keravnos' coach Christoforos Livadiotis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Wayne Martin (201-93, college: Tennessee St., agency: Two Points) came up with 11 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Christos Panayiotou (196-91) added 12 points respectively for Etha in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Keravnos. Defending champion used an opportunity after AEK lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Etha lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Keravnos will play against Apoel (#3) in Nicosia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Etha will play on the road against Enosis in Paralimni and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
