Regular Season Round 24: Atomeromu - Kormend 92-73

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (17-6) against seventh ranked Atomeromu (13-11) on Wednesday night. Visiting Kormend was crushed by Atomeromu in Paks 92-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kormend. Kormend was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Atomeromu made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game, while Kormend only scored two points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward RT Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) who added 19 points during the contest. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Csaba Ferencz (194-85) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Marquis Wright (185-95, college: Siena) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomeromu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with ZTE KK. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Falco-Vulcano. Atomeromu will play against Kaposvari (#9) on the road in the next round. Kormend will play against Alba (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
