Regular Season Round 24: Sopron KC - JP-Auto JKSE 80-68
Date: March 21, 2018
Bottom-ranked Sopron KC managed to get a sixth victory on Wednesday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked JP-Auto JKSE 80-68. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-68. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Esian Henderson (205-86, college: Central Mo., agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. Even 30 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) by point guard Remon Nelson (175-90, college: USC Aiken, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for JP-Auto JKSE. Guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sopron KC (6-18) moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser JP-Auto JKSE keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Sopron KC will meet higher ranked PVSK-Veolia (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. JP-Auto JKSE will play against MAFC in Budapest and hope to secure a win.
