Second Stage Round 9: Ufimets Ufa - Arsenal 114-111

Fourth-ranked Arsenal (14-19) gave a tough game to third ranked Ufimets Ufa (19-14). Ufimets Ufa managed to secure only three-point victory 114-111. However their fans expected easier game. Ufimets Ufa dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Arsenal's 36 and made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Ufimets Ufa players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Artem Isakov (192-87) nailed 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and power forward Sergei Kharitonov (205-91) accounted for 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Roman Shapovalov (200-87) came up with 29 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Artur Uskov (177-91) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Arsenal in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Ufimets Ufa maintains third place with 19-14 record having eleven points less than leader Dyn-Magn.ChL. Arsenal at the other side keeps the fourth position with 19 games lost. Ufimets Ufa will again play against Arsenal (#4) in Tula in the next round. Arsenal will have a break next round.
