Second Stage Round 10: Uralmash - Burevestnik 93-95

The game had a very big importance for first-ranked Burevestnik as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Burevestnik edged their biggest opponent Uralmash in Ekaterinburg 95-93. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Uralmash. Burevestnik forced 21 Uralmash turnovers. 33 personal fouls committed by Uralmash helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Anton Ageev (191-84) fired 30 points and 5 assists for the winners. Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Center Andrey Voron (208-87) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Igor Novikov (192-90) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. which they share with defeated Uralmash. Uralmash at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. They share the position with Dyn-Magn.ChL. Uralmash will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Burevestnik will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Dyn-Magn.ChL in Cheliabinsk.
